Here's the image that Dr. Charles Kahn showed at the conclusion of his 2012 address as incoming President of the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS). It's a photo mosaic of Professor Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, in whose honor the ARRS was named. Roentgen was a pioneering physicist who discovered a previously unknown form of radiation, now called X rays or Roentgen rays. Roentgen was the first recipient of the Nobel Prize. The image is a mosaic composed of medical images. All of the images come from ARRS's journal, the AJR (American Journal of Roentgenology). |
